OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
1. No purchase is necessary.

2. To win, at the time of entry you must be at least (18) years old, a homeowner, and a legal resident of the following state: Virginia

3. This Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited by law. By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules.

4. (1) Grand Prize Winner.

5. Only one (1) entry per household.

6. Contest begins on May 1, 2008 and ends on May 31, 2008, with the Prize Winner(s) announced on June 16, 2008.

7. The geographic scope of this promotion is the following state: Virginia (specifically the Counties of Roanoke, Montgomery, Franklin, Henry, Floyd. Sponsors of this Contest are Media General Operations, Inc. d/b/a WSLS (hereinafter referred to as the “Station”) and Virginia Gutter, Inc.

8. Employees of Sponsors and of the affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, suppliers, franchisees, promoters, and agents of any of these, and the immediate families of the employees of any of these, are not eligible.

9. The odds of winning are based upon the number of correct entries received.

PRIZES
10. Description of prize: (One) Prize Winner will win a complete KGuard Gutter System for their home. The current retail value of each prize is: up to $5,000.

11. All federal, state and other taxes relating to any prize, and any travel, hotel accommodations or other expenses relating to any prize, are the sole responsibility of the Prize Winner.

12. Prize is not transferable, substitutable, or exchangeable for cash except that the Station, in its discretion, may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Any such changes will be announced. If Prize Winner fails to meet any eligibility requirement herein, alternate Prize Winner will be chosen by random drawing to be held as soon as reasonably practicable after initial Prize Winner is determined to be ineligible. Alternate Prize Winner is subject to all eligibility requirements and restrictions of these Official Rules.

TO ENTER
13. To enter, the Contest, go to www.wsls.com contest page and fill out an entry form, submit a photo and reason why you need new gutters (or) send a postcard to Virginia Gutter, Inc P.O. Box 1411 Roanoke, VA 24007 or drop off at Virginia Gutter, Inc., at 3214 Electric Road Suite 102 Roanoke, VA 24018 providing the following information: (1) Name, (2) Address, (3) Telephone Number (4) Age (5) a photo of your gutters and (6) reason why you need new gutters. To be eligible for the drawing, entries must be received by no later than May 31, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Participants who fail to provide the required information will not be notified by the Station.

14. The Prize Winner will be selected by VA Gutter, Inc. on June 16, 2008.

15. If the VA Gutter Inc., selects your name as a Prize Winner, Virginia Gutter Inc, will contact you in accordance with the information you supplied. The Prize Winner may be verified over the telephone at the time and will be asked to come to Virginia Gutter, Inc., located at 3214 Electric Road Suite 102 Roanoke, VA 24018, where the Prize Winner must provide valid identification and execute an affidavit of eligibility. Valid identification includes a valid driver’s license or other valid picture ID showing name and address. Faxes will not be accepted. The Prize Winner may also be required to sign other legal documents, including tax forms and a release supplied by the Station, which, among other disclaimers, releases the Sponsors and a range of subsidiaries, directors, agents, agencies, affiliates, franchisees, promoters, officers, directors, employees and related persons from any and all liability related to this Contest and the receipt and use of the prize. The information contained on the entry form or postcard becomes the property of the Virginia Gutter, Inc. If VA Gutter Inc., is unable to speak directly to a Prize Winner within seven (7) days from initial attempted notification, VA Gutter Inc., in its sole discretion, may disqualify that winner and select an alternate winner or remove the prize from the Contest.

16. Sponsors, their affiliates, subsidiaries or agencies will not be responsible for the inability to select winners because of postal failure, equipment failure, or data storage failure.

MISCELLANEOUS
17. All federal, state and local laws apply. Sponsors shall be entitled to interpret these rules as needed — including but not limited to rules regarding entries, selection of winner, deadlines, restrictions on the prize, and eligibility — and all of their decisions are final. By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules. The Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend this Contest or any part of this Contest should any non-authorized intervention, network failure, information storage failure, telecommunications failure, malfunction, or other causes beyond its control, corrupt or impair the security, administration, fairness and/or operation of this Contest as determined by the Station in its sole discretion. The Station and Media General Operations, Inc. are not responsible for lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, or other connections, or for any failed telephone or computer hardware or software, or for any failed, delayed, misdirected, corrupted, or garbled transmissions or errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic, or for entries that for any reason are not received by the Station by the deadline stated above. The Station and Media General Operations, Inc. are also not responsible for any injury or damage to any computer, modem or other electrical device as a result of participation in this Contest or downloading of any software or materials.

18. For a list of winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope by mail to: “Contest Winners,” c/o the Station, 401 Third Street, Roanoke, VA 24011 at the conclusion of the Contest.

19. For a copy of the Official Rules, stop by the Station during normal business hours, visit Station Website URL, or send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: “Contest Rules,” c/o Leslie Foley, WSLS, 401 Third Street, Roanoke, VA 24011.

20. By winning, contestants agree to award Sponsors the right to publicize their names, photographs (including the use and appearance of winner's photograph on Sponsors’ web pages), likenesses, biographical information, e-mail address, voices and details of winning for purposes of this and future promotions without further compensation.

21. Any person attempting to defraud or tamper with this Contest in any way will be ineligible for prizes and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

No purchase necessary. One valid entry per contestant. You must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.

Winners will be notified by phone or email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If WSLS-TV cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

WSLS-TV reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.

WSLS-TV reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.

Employees of WSLS-TV, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.

Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.

Entrants further grant to WSLS-TV the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.

WSLS-TV reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, Inc., and/or WSLS-TV. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.

Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.

UPICKEM and WSLS-TV are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.

All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.

Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.

This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.

WSLS-TV reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
